Terms of service

paper-inbox is a free tool that reads your PDFs in your browser and proposes a file name. By using it you accept the terms below.
What the tool does
- It reads the PDFs you open, proposes a name and, if you connect Google Drive, can rename, move and modify the files you picked in Google's picker.
- Nothing is renamed or modified without your action: you check each proposal before applying it.
- How it works is described in the privacy policy, which is part of these terms.
Your responsibility
- Use the tool only on documents you are entitled to read and modify.
- Text recognition is automatic and can be wrong: check the proposed dates, names and numbers before applying.
- Keep a copy of anything that matters to you. When you leave the option ticked, a PDF's content in Drive is replaced by the same pages with the recognised text added; Drive keeps the previous version in its history for a limited period set by Google.
- You remain bound by Google's terms for your use of Google Drive and your Google account.
No warranty
The tool is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind, including accuracy of the proposed names, availability or fitness for a particular purpose. To the extent permitted by law, its author is not liable for losses or damages resulting from its use, including a file misnamed or modified by mistake.
Access and changes
The tool may change, be interrupted or be withdrawn at any time. You can stop using it whenever you like and remove its access to your Drive in your Google account, “Security” then “Third-party apps”.
Governing law
These terms are governed by French law.
